על כאו"א למלא את התפקיד שהוטל עליו – בפועל. לדוגמא, מי שהתמנה ל"משפיע" (בחסידות, יראת שמים וכיו"ב), אין הכוונה בזה רק שבכחו להשפיע, אלא שישפיע בפועל. ולא משנה מה הן ההצטדקויות שלו – המושפעים לא אשמים! ועפ"י הכלל ש"יותר ממה שעגל רוצה לינק, הפרה רוצה להניק", מובן, שהסימן שהוא אכן "משפיע", הוא כשיש לו רצון להשפיע, ובאופן שהוא משפיע בפועל. ועד"ז בנוגע למי שהתמנה למנהל מוסד וכדומה. ובוודאי יצליח כ"א בתפקידו, ובאופן של "מלכתחילה אַריבער" (כהוראת בעל ההילולא של י"ג תשרי); אין הכוונה לכעוס ח"ו על מישהו כו' – אי"ז ענינם של חסידים, ועאכו"כ אלו שמשתדלים להיות חסידים – אלא הכוונה שיתקבלו הדברים. ויה"ר שגם קבלת הדברים עצמם תהי' באופן של "מלכתחילה אַריבער"!

Every individual must practically fulfill the mission incumbent on him. For example, if someone was appointed as a mashpia, it doesn’t’ just mean he has the ability to be influence his mushpa’im, but aht he should actually have an influence. And whatever excuses he has—those are his personal issues, and they’re not the fault of his mushpa’im! Since “more than the calf wishes to suck, the cow wants to suckle” it is understood that the sign of a true mashpia is that he wants to be mashpia, and that the desire is expressed practically. And the same applies to someone appointed to run an institution and the like. Certainly, everyone will succeed in their mission, and in a manner of milechatchila ariber (in accordance with the instruction of the baal haheilulah of 13 Tishrei); the point isn’t to be angry at anyone etc.—because that’s not what chassidim do, and certainly those striving to be chassidim—rather, the point is that the words should have their desired effect. And may it be Hashem’s will that these words will also be accepted in a manner of milechatchila ariber.
