Season 8
Episode 9
Published 2 years, 2 months ago
Description
We are so excited to talk to our dear friend and fellow menopause campaigner, Claire Hattrick, The Executive Menopause Coach on today’s podcast. Claire suffered with undiagnosed menopause joint pain for 10 years which left her unable to stand, sit or walk despite being under several consultants who could find nothing wrong. At the same time, she was raising twin daughters on her own. In 2020 Claire decided to make it her mission to teach and educate both women and men about menopause and the possible symptoms that come with it, making sure that no other woman loses years of their life to menopause like she did.The Executive Menopause Coach was launched, helping women in mid-life to navigate the menopause and allowing them space to rediscover their purpose and value. We discuss Menopause and Joint pain, treatment, supplements and HRT. It’s a fun and informative episode. Fun fact- Claire can still do the splits and has appeared on numerous national and local TV programmes, newspapers and women’s magazines with her menopause work (not doing the splits) and now - she can add the Global podcast -Womenkind Collective Podcast to that list! In the Book Collective book of the series, Twelve Moons. A Year Under A Shared Sky by Caro Giles. This week we read chapter 8 Dispute Moon, we meet the matriarchs of Caro and her girls life. There’s a fabulous Foodie from Jinty, a spicy butternut squash soup suggested by one of our Collective. You can find the full recipe here: https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/user/482159/recipe/spicy-squash-and-parsnip-soup. We Veganised ours, easy peesy. Jinty talks vitamin D with a quiz that’s not a quiz and Lou discusses the marketing ban on new born formula milk. There’s an inspirational quote from Jinty, it’s another episode brimming with chat, your comments, and all the usual sweary shenanigans! So, settle in for this hour(ish) podcast full of meaningful chat.
