Four decades ago, Arne Johnson went on trial for killing his landlord, Alan Bono, and his lawyer put forth the idea that Johnson was possessed at the time of the killing and therefore should be found innocent.

“The Devil Made Me Do It” case is infamous and has been adapted numerous times in Hollywood, most recently in The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It in 2021 and more recently as the focus of the hit Netflix Documentary, The Devil on Trial.

Dave is joined by researcher, Jeff Belanger to discuss the intricacies of this case and the aftermath on the killer, the family involved, the court systems and the reputations of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
