The Chicago Blackhawks had a 5-day break following their 8-1 loss to the Arizona Coyotes and immediately proved that the loss was behind them, emphatically defeating the Florida Panthers Saturday night. The Hawks went up 3-0 in the blink of an eye in the first period, with the goals coming from Nick Foligno, Nikita Zaitsev and Taylor Hall. Connor Bedard padded that lead with a beautiful wrister in the 2nd period, his 5th goal of the season. Petr Mrazek was excellent in net, allowing 2 goals, both in the 3rd period, on 40 shots on goal. Philipp Kurashev put the game away with an empty-netter to seal the 5-2 victory.
