The 'Tranq' crisis in America has emerged as a new drug issue that is rapidly becoming uncontrollable. Originating from a drug called Xylazine, commonly known as Tranq on the street, this drug was primarily used in veterinary medicine as a sedative and to relieve pain for animals. However, in recent years, Tranq has found its way into the illicit drug market, where it is mixed with other street-level drugs. The consequences of this alarming trend have been devastating, resulting in a range of detrimental side effects, including skin lesions, unconsciousness, and even death. The rise in overdose deaths has been particularly prevalent among the heaviest users, specifically those between the ages of 25 and 44, as well as black and white Americans. In this episode i review 'Tranq' its spread, side effects and what can be done to overcome the addiction.
