We kick off the year 1864 with five battles, all of which are minor. The Battle of Dandridge, January 17, 1864, occurred in Jefferson County, TN. The Battle of Athens was fought in Athens, Alabama on January 26, 1864. The Battle of Fair Garden was a minor cavalry battle between the Army of Ohio and The Department of East Tennessee, occurring on January 27, 1864, in Sevier County, TN. The Battle of Morton's Ford was fought February 6–7, 1864. And lastly, The Battle of Middle Boggy took place on February 13, 1864 in Choctaw Indian Territory.
