שמו השני של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הוא "יצחק" שנק' ע"ש "כל השומע יצחק לי" [כמ"ש בחמישי דפ' וירא], שהיו אלו ש"צחקו" ואמרו שאברהם שהי' בן ק' ושרה שהיתה בת צ' לא יוכלו ללדת, ובפועל נולד יצחק. ועד"ז כשהוא הגיע לארה"ב וייסד את המוסד "של"ה" שבו ילמדו יהדות ילדים שלומדים בבתי ספר עממים, היו אלו ש"צחקו" ואמרו: מה כבר ייצא מזה לאחרי ש"משטר" המדינה הזה נמשך כבר תשעים-מאה שנה וכו', ומה יועיל פעולה חד-פעמית עם ילד יהודי‏ – ‏הרי בין כך הוא "יישחק" אח"כ במנהגי המדינה..., ובפועל רואים שמילדים אלו יצאו אלפים ורבבות שומרי תומ"צ! גם בנוגע ליצחק טען "עוג מלך הבשן", ב"משתה גדול" שעשה אברהם, שהוא יכול "לשְׁחוק" אותו, ולבסוף נפל עוג בידיו! כי אף שיצחק הי' ילד יהודי יחידי נאמר עליו "וארבה את זרעו". וע"י יגיעה ניתן לגלות בכל יהודי את ריבוי הכחות שיש בו ובאופן של "מציאה" וכו'.

The second name of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, is Yitzchak, the name Avraham gave his son because “whoever hears will laugh (yitzachak) over me” (as it says in the fifth aliyah of Parashas Vayera). There were those who “laughed,” saying that at the ages of one hundred and ninety, Avraham and Sarah couldn’t possibly have a child, but in the end Yitzchak was born. Similarly, when the Rebe arrived in the United States and established Shaloh, for Jewish public school children to have the opportunity to learn about Yiddishkeit, some people “laughed,” arguing that nothing would come of it because this country already has an established system that’s ninety or a hundred years old etc., and that even if you get a Jewish child involved temporarily, it won’t last, and the eventually the ways of the land will erase it. But ultimately, this program resulted in tens of thousands of observant Jews! Similarly, Og, king of Bashan claimed that he could wipe away Yitzchak with one finger, but in the end Og fell into the hands of Yitzchak’s descendants. Because though Yitzchak was just one Jewish child, regarding him the posuk says, “I will multiply your offspring.” Similarly, with toil, every Jew can “find” within himself unimaginable abilities etc.
