The Chicago Blackhawks looked on their way to a second-consecutive great game after Connor Bedard scored just 28 seconds in versus the Arizona Coyotes. That would be the last glimmer of hope after the Coyotes scored 3 goals in the 1st period and 4 more in the 2nd period. All told, it was an early Halloween scare for the Hawks in a 8-1 loss to Arizona. Arvid Soderblom had a rough night in net, allowing 7 goals on 22 attempts before being lifted for Petr Mrazek. After Bedard's goal in the opening minute, the Hawks went the following 59:32 without another goal.
