This quote by Dolly Parton perfectly describes how WE must help ourselves, take action, and do something to move ourselves in a better direction.

I have known a few people that complain about their lives, jobs, relationship, fitness, health and so on, but they rarely DO anything to change it. They have a problem for every solution.

It’s helpful to recognize where things need to change, but that needs to be followed up with action. Start by writing down a goal. Then break it down into tiny actionable steps.

If you don’t know what the steps are, research, ask, or guess. These are even considered steps in the direction of your best self. Every time you get to cross something off that list towards your goal, you will gain the energy to do the next step, then the next.
