Stay tuned and we'll tell you all about it! ________________________________ 漫畫帶你回到九十年代的台灣 Comic Book Takes You on a Journey in 1990s Taiwan A comic is a type of story that uses words and illustrations (插圖). In a comic book, each page is divided into panels that show different scenes. 在漫畫書裡，每一頁都被分成好幾格，顯示不同的場景。 It's kind of like watching a movie, but in book form! A famous comic book artist from America named Mark Crilley made a new book called "Lost in Taiwan." The book is a fun story about an American high school student who gets lost (迷路) in Taiwan during the 1990s! Why did Mark write about Taiwan? Well, he lived here over 30 years ago and taught English! Mark says the book is like a "love letter to Taiwan." Mark 說這本漫畫書就像是寫給台灣的「情書」。 He hopes people around the world will learn about Taiwan's culture through his book. Mark is from a city in America called Detroit. He became famous (有名的) for his books like "Akiko" and "Mastering Manga." He first came to Taiwan in 1988 and worked as an English teacher in Changhua County. He was only 21 years old and knew very little Chinese. But he fell in love with Taiwan-especially the yummy food and the colorful signs everywhere! While living here, Mark liked to draw a lot. He drew temples, motorcycles, and even scenes from everyday life in Taiwan (台灣日常生活的場景). He says many memories from that time are still clear in his mind. 他說那時候的很多回憶在他心中依然清晰。 Mark's new book is not about his own life, but it's a fun story that was inspired (啟發) by his time in Taiwan. The hero in the book also learns about Taiwanese culture, makes new friends, and even starts learning the language, just like Mark did. So why did he write this book? Mark thinks people often talk only about big Asian countries like China and Japan. He hopes his book will make more people interested in Taiwan! It took Mark about a year to finish "Lost in Taiwan," and he dedicated it (把它獻給) to the friendly people of Taiwan. So, if you like comic books, check out "Lost in Taiwan." ________________________________ 科學家研究一顆遙遠的小行星 上面的塵埃 Scientists Study Dust from a Faraway Asteroid Scientists have always wondered about how life got started on Earth. 科學家一直都很好奇地球上的生命是如何開始的。 Some scientists think that a long, long time ago, asteroids (小行星) might have helped make life on Earth possible! These big rocks in space could have brought important stuff like water and special minerals to our planet. 這些太空中的大石頭，可能把水和特殊礦物質帶到了我們的星球。 This could have helped kick-start (啟動) life around 4.5 billion years ago. To find out if this is true, scientists from NASA decided to launch an asteroid mission. In 2016, a spaceship (太空船) called OSIRIS-REx went on a super long trip to an asteroid named Bennu. This asteroid is really, really far from Earth-205 million miles away (2.05億英里遠)! It took three years for the spaceship to reach Bennu. Then, for the next two years, OSIRIS-REx studied the asteroid to find a suitable landing site (找到一個合適的著陸地點). In 2020, the spacecraft landed on Bennu and collected a sample (採集樣本). It took three years on its journey back, and finally returned in September! It brought back dust (塵埃) from the asteroid. Scientists were super excited to look at this space rock dust for the first time. They used special tools like big microscopes and X-ray machines to see what the dust is made of. 他們使用大顯微鏡和X光機這些特殊工具，來仔細看這些塵埃是怎麼組成的。 And they found the asteroid dust has lots of carbon (碳) and clay minerals that hold water (能吸水的黏土礦物質). They think this is a big discovery!
