#1497 - The Difference Between Growing Around It And Growing Through It

Published 2 years, 5 months ago
Description

Fear is a universal human experience. Everyone, at some point in their lives, has experienced fear. However, the way we handle fear varies greatly. In this episode, hosts Kevin Palmieri and Alan Lazaros talk about how understanding and confronting fear can alter our perspective and behavior toward others and ourselves. Much like allergy shots help build resistance, exposure therapy can shrink fear to a manageable size. The more familiar we become with our fear, the less intimidating it becomes. Self-acceptance is a vital tool for personal growth and is critical to overcoming fear. By accepting ourselves, we are better equipped to face our fears and make choices not dictated by them.
