Season 2 Episode 328 Published 2 years, 7 months ago
Description

In the era since the Giving of the Torah, the stages [in our Divine service] are:

first, removing the foreskin of the body, then of the tongue, and then of the heart — action, speech, and thought.

Avraham Avinu, who lived before the Giving of the Torah,

first “recognized his Creator” — thought;

then publicized G‑d’s existence — speech;

then performed the circumcision — action.
