They also talk about how the Rangers have spent big money, which has also lead to their success.

They guys discuss the state of the current Cubs team as well. What do they need to add to be a real contender? Both guys agree they need some new arms, but what else? The guys have an intense debate about who the Cubs will be willing to go after and how much they'll be willing to spend.

Finally, they talk about the contemporary baseball hall of fame committee who will meet in December. There are a number of managers, umpires, and executives who will be on the ballot. Who do the guys think should get in?
