When the store change the layout around and the issues of autism and changing plans kicks in! One of the things that’s super difficult for people on the autism spectrum is dealing with changing plans and the idea of change in routine. Recently I visited a local supermarket where I live and I go there usually on a Sunday at the same time to get all the grocery shopping. This time they had change the store around and the layout was completely different which threw me so much. At first I kind of got a little bit angry, then I started to get very nervous and felt quite sick and also I felt like I was almost lost and a panic came over me. This is the effect of how a change in a plan for someone on the autism spectrum can create discomfort and issues.
