The UN Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator ad interim for Afghanistan, Daniel Endres, told reporters that according to initial assessments, some 1,500 deaths and about 2,000 injuries were registered, in addition, about 43,000 people have been directly impacted by the earthquakes in the country.
