Right after 1st service, at 9:45am, please join us in the Sanctuary for a short, 10 minute Congregational Meeting, the purpose of electing a Designated Pastor Nominating Committee to select a Designated Associate Pastor of Congregational Care. Nominated for DPNC: John Griffiths, Leslie Evans, and Linda Sanford.
There are two new Caring Classes coming up in the Fall:
Divorce Care will meet Thursdays, from 6:30-8:00pm, Sept. 1 - Nov. 17, in room LC-5. This 13-week class will be led by Maricarmen Garcia. The Divorce Care class is for those seeking support during, or after divorce. The cost is $25 for materials. RSVP to Congregational Care Pastor Scott at 858-729-5595 or scottm@ljpres.org.
GriefShare will meet Wednesdays, 3:30-5:00 pm, Sept. 7 -Nov. 30, in room LC-5. This 13-week class will be led by Pastor Scott Mitchell. The GriefShare class/support group is for those struggling with deep loss. The cost is $25 for materials. RSVP to Scott at 858-729-5595 or scottm@ljpres.org.
Finally, we are very excited to announce that the newly remodeled Children's Wing will reopen on Sunday, September 4th. All children's Sunday School classes will meet in new rooms that Sunday.
