Victory in WWII: The Power of Diversity and Ingenuity - Historical Fiction Book Flight (E47)
Description
In today’s episode, I am chatting with Kim Davis. Kim is a Naval officer and board-certified Ophthalmologist. This spring, she was recognized as the American Hospital Association Federal Health Care Executive of the Year. Over a 31-year career, she has served in various positions and locations across the globe supporting pandemic response, warfighter readiness, humanitarian assistance, and partner nation preparedness. Her proudest contributions have been reversing blindness abroad and encouraging diverse young people to enter STEM fields.
We chatted about finding time in the busyness to read, what our teetering bookstacks can show about our reading habits and about reading multiple books at once. We also talked about using books as a tool to help us immerse in the new places we are living by learning about the local culture and area. For all the leaders listening, she also shares some of her favorite leadership books. I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did!
