Duane Sarmiento, Commander in Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars 2023-2024 is a perfect example of someone who puts service above self. A 30 + year member of the Legion is excited about the message he will be sharing as he spends about 300 nights on the road this next year. As a veteran of Desert Shield/Desert Storm he is looking forward to reaching out to all veterans but especially those who served at that time.
