Taking time to focus on our well-being can help us reduce stress, improve our physical health, and strengthen our mental health. Taking small steps toward self-care such as getting enough sleep, eating well, and engaging in activities we enjoy can help us feel more in control of our lives. This, in turn, will help us to be more productive and motivated to reach our goals. As Steve Maraboli put it: “Love yourself. Forgive yourself. Be true to yourself. How you treat yourself sets the standard for how others will treat you.”
