1) הצ"צ סיפר אודות המאמר "ושאבתם מים בששון" שרבינו הזקן אמרו כמ"פ, ש"האָט מען געשעפּט און געשעפּט" ע"ד דברי הגמ' "שמשם שואבין רוח הקודש", וסיים: "ס'איז ביז ביאת המשיח". מזה מוכח שדברים אלו שייכים אלינו. והזמן לזה הוא בשמחת בית השואבה. והכלי לזה הוא לימוד תורה החסידות. 2) ישנו פס"ד בשו"ע שתוכנו, שכאשר יהודי מקבל ע"ע החלטה טובה – אזי מקבל את השכר תיכף ומיד. ובנוגע לעניננו – קבלת ההחלטה טובה בענין הצדקה, פועלת כבר את השכר –קירוב הגאולה, עד כדי כך, שמשיח יכול להגיע מיד עוד לפני הבדלה... ישנם הטוענים שדיבורים אלו הם "ווילדע רייד". ובכן, זה מתאים לכללות ענין הגלות שזהו "אַ ווילדע זאַך", ועוד והוא העיקר – למאי נפק"מ מה שחושבים, וכל הטענות והשאלות – העיקר שתהי' הגאולה של ה"שכינה", של משיח צדקנו, ושל כל בנ"י – תיכף ומיד!

1) Regarding the Alter Rebbe’s maamar Ush’avtem Mayim B’sason, the Tzemach Tzedek (who heard the maamar many times) said “we drew and drew,” (like the Gemara’s statement about Simchas Beis Hasho’eiva that “From there they would derive ruach hakodesh”), and he concluded, “it is until the coming of Moshiach.” This indicates that this applies to us; the time for it is during Simchas Beis Hasho’eiva, and the vessel for it is studying Chassidus. 2) There’s a law in Shulchan Aruch that when a Jew makes a positive resolution – he is given the reward for it immediately. And in our case, resolving to give tzedakah already brings about the reward – the hastening of the Redemption, to the extent that Moshiach can come immediately, even before havdalah…Some people argue that this is “wild talk,” but that is fitting because the whole concept of exile is a “wild thing;” the main thing is, what difference does it make what they think – the main thing is that the Moshiach should come immediately!
