Supernatural Season 4, Episode 13, After School Special recap 🚌 A haunted high school sends the boys back to Truman High, where they went as teens, and the flashbacks give us young Sam (Colin Ford) and young Dean (Brock Kelly). Oh, and Dean as a PE teacher in short shorts, on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast.

We're four Misha Collins cocktails deep (six shots of vodka, for the record) and nervous about another flashback episode, but this one delivers. Students at the boys' old high school are suddenly attacking classmates in brutal ways, and Sam and Dean go undercover: Sam as the janitor and Dean as Coach Winchester. Meanwhile, flashbacks to their teen years show Sam standing up to a bully named Dirk, befriending a quiet kid named Barry, and getting real encouragement from his English teacher, Mr. Wyatt, while Dean is busy charming his way through the school.

Episode Highlights:

• Sam in janitor coveralls (busting!)

In the lore segment, we take a tour of haunted schools: an Anchorage, Alaska, high school with its own Moaning Myrtle, the mystery girl in El Paso High School's 1985 class photo (hey, Texas!), the eyeless ghost of Parker Road Elementary in Florissant, Missouri, which was built on an old cemetery, and the 1966 Westall UFO sighting, when a whole class of students and a teacher in Melbourne, Australia, saw a saucer-shaped craft.
