Morning Mantra: “It is what it is.”
This is one of the most difficult concepts to wrap your head around, because we tend to see things as we WANT them to be, not as they are.
If a situation, relationship, or problem can be changed, then by all means, work on it. If it can’t, then you must learn to accept it, As. It. Is.
When you focus on what IS NOT, then you remove the opportunity for gratitude. Being grateful for what you already have, or how things are NOW, often attracts more of what you want. Focusing on how you WANT it to be puts you in a negative head space and lowers your ability to see things clearly.
Accepting things/people as they are doesn’t mean you’ve given up, it means you’ve learned to let go of things you can’t control. It is what it is, not what it should be, not what it could have been.
