Description

We’re continuing our focus on alopecia areata awareness month with the final three podcasts from the Pfizer-funded series - Emerging Mechanisms of Action in the Treatment of Moderate-to-Severe Alopecia Areata in Children. In this episode, Dr. Carolyn Goh shares her views on patient care, how to find the right treatment for each patient, and her own experience growing up with alopecia. Providing personal insights on everything from the stigma of the disease to potential future treatments, Dr. Goh offers a refreshing perspective on difficult conversations with patients and the options available to them for treating, or not treating their hair disorders. Dr. Goh is a dermatologist, and Associate Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Looking for patient resources? Visit the National Alopecia Areata Foundation website.

Please note this program originally aired in June of 2021.
