Romans 9:25-33 ‘God’s sovereignty in choosing His people’ presented by Rev Chris Duke

The mercy of God has been extended beyond Jewish people to gentiles. We are adopted into God’s family and experience His affection. There is nothing lovely in us for God to choose us but He is please to call us His people. In Christ He calls His beloved.

Paul sights the Old Testament prophet,

“And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them,
‘You are not My people,’
There they shall be called sons of the living God.”

We participate in the family of God, but God only has one Son. Because God has placed us in Christ, we participate in that sonship. We have become sonsof God who are not by nature children of God.
