Morning Mantra: “Two things to remember: Take care of your thoughts when you are alone and take care of your words when you are not.”
I’ll admit it, I get in my head too much. My thoughts can create drama, suspense, fear, anger, and a host of other emotions. So, I try to remember that I create my reality through my thoughts. I am the one HAVING the thoughts and that most of the time my thoughts are not based on what’s really happening.
If I let my thoughts spin out of control it can lead to “words I wish I hadn’t spoken” when I am around others. So, I practice the pause and try to wait a few moments and collect my thoughts before my mouth runs away with me.
