Henryk Siwiak: New York's Only Unsolved Murder from 9/11

Published 2 years, 9 months ago
Description

On this week's episode, we dive deep into one of New York City's most puzzling unsolved murders – the case of Henryk Siwiak. While many remember 9/11 for the tragic terrorist attacks, very few recall that NYC saw another homicide on that very same day, one that remains unsolved to this day.

Henryk Siwiak, a Polish immigrant, was tragically shot dead on the night of September 11, 2001, in Brooklyn. As the city’s police resources and the nation’s focus were understandably diverted to the catastrophic events at the World Trade Center, Siwiak's murder became overshadowed, making his case the only unsolved homicide in NYC on that fateful day.
