עילוי המיוחד דיום כ"ה אלול הוא שבו נברא כל העולם כולו "כל תולדות השמים וארץ נבראו ביום ראשון", ובאופן ד"יום אחד"‏ – ‏"שהי' הקב"ה יחיד בעולמו", וזה מתחדש בכ"ה באלול בכל שנה. ויש להוסיף בזה ענין הכי נפלא: הבריאה דכ"ה באלול כוללת לא רק את הענינים שהם בגדרי זמן ומקום אלא כל סדר ההשתלשלות, לפני הצמצום עד להארה הראשונה שנמשכה מעצומ"ה ית'! וגם זה מתחדש בכל שנה ברגע הראשון של כ"ה באלול, כי אע"פ שהם למע' מזמן (ומקום), אבל לאחרי מ"ת ניתנו כל הענינים לרשותם של ישראל‏ – ‏"בשביל ישראל"‏ – ‏שנמצאים בזמן ומקום בעוה"ז הגשמי ופועלים בזמן ומקום. ומזה מובן גודל ההפלאה דכ"ה באלול והכחות המיוחדים שניתנו ביום זה ויש לנצלם וכו' .

משיחת כ"ה אלול ה'תשמ"ח

The special quality of the twenty-fifth of Elul is that it is when the entire world was created, and it was “one day” – on that day “Hashem was alone in His world”; this is renewed every year on the twenty-fifth of Elul. And here we can add something most wondrous: the creation on the twenty-fifth of Elul includes not just those things that are within time and space, but rather all of Seder Hishtalshelus, from before the tzimtzum, and even the very first ray of Divine light emanating from the Divine essence and core. And this, too, is renewed every year at the first moment of the twenty-fifth of Elul, because even though these levels transcend time and space, however, after the Torah was given, everything was given to the domain of the Jewish people – “for the sake of the Jewish people” – who exist within time and space, within this physical world, and whose deeds are within time and space. Thus, we can understand the tremendous quality of this day, and the special abilities given to us on this day, and we should utilize those abilities etc.
