Why is it difficult to pray and how should we pray?

True Prayer comes God’s Word

In Daniel 9 when he was praying, while reading his scriptures.

He was reading his bible, specifically reading from the book of Jeremiah.

True Prayer reveals God and our relationship with Him.

We know that Daniel was a fervent pray-er. Prayer got Daniel into trouble in chapter 6,

the result being thrown into the lion’s den. Daniel would only worship the one true and living God.

Daniel prayer isn’t an afterthought when you climb into bed at night. Daniel was known for setting three periods of prayer each day. In Daniel 9 confession is a major component of his prayer.

True Prayer is always heard by God

From verses 20-23 we learn something quite unique and glorious.  We learn that Daniel’s prayer is heard, and we have a description given to us, as to what happened in heaven when Daniel prayed.
