בנוגע ל"גרים" והבלבול שנוצר לאחרונה וכו' – יש להכריז בגלוי שאין לפגוע בהם ח"ו, ואדרבה – הם חביבים במיוחד לפני הקב"ה (כמ"ש הרמב"ם)! אין מקום בתורה לחלק בין מי שנולד יהודי לבין גר! – כמ"ש [ברביעי דפ' וילך] "הקהל את העם האנשים והנשים והטף וגרך אשר בשעריך" – גם ה"גר אשר בשעריך" נוגע לכללות מעמד הקהל! ועוד: הרמב"ם פוסק שגם גר שאינו מבין לה"ק חייב להשתתף ב"הקהל". וי"ל שמקורו הוא מפסוק זה שנאמר "וגרך אשר (לא "במחניך" שנמצא כבר ב"מחנה" וכו', אלא) בשעריך" – שגם גר שרק עכשיו נתגייר ונמצא עדיין ליד ה"שער" ואינו יודע כלום חייב לבוא ולשמוע את קריאת התורה מפי המלך, ורק כאשר גם הוא משתתף יתקיים ה"ישמעו וילמדו ויראו" אצל כל האנשים והנשים והטף באופן שזה יביא אותם "לעשות את כל דברי התורה הזאת"! ולהעיר שמשה אמר מצות הקהל, שבו מודגשת מעלת הגרים, ביום האחרון שלו שבו הגיע לתכלית השלימות! ולכן מצוה לפרסם שאסור לפגוע ח"ו בכבודם של הגרים (איסור שקשור עם ל"ו אזהרות)!
