Social-emotional learning is so important for our kids. Unfortunately, I know that many psychologists (myself included) don’t necessarily focus on social-emotional learning during our evaluations or when we think about recommendations for kids. About Dr. Evelyn Johnson

Dr. Evelyn Johnson serves as the Vice-President of Research and Development for Aperture Education, where she leads a team to create social and emotional assessments, strategies, and adult SEL programs. Prior to joining Aperture Education, she was a Professor of Special Education at Boise State University and the CEO of Lee Pesky Learning Center, a non-profit organization that serves students with learning and attention challenges. In her free time, she enjoys all things outdoors including running, hiking, and skiing.
