ט"ו אלול הוא יום התייסדות ישיבת תו"ת. וש.ז. [תשמ"ט] הוא שנת היובל להעתקת הישיבה ל"חצי כדור התחתון", בשנת ה'ת"ש. לציין תאריך זה ע"י חגיגה מיוחדת, החל מיום ט"ו אלול עצמו, ובימים שלאח"ז, עד ח"י אלול, שבו היתה התחלת הלימודים בישיבה, ובפרט לאחרי ריבוי השיחות אודות ענינו של ח"י אלול - לכל לראש כאן בברוקלין, ועד"ז בכ"מ שיש שם ישיבת תו"ת וכיו"ב. להדפיס מחדש ענין בחסידות כמו השיחה "כל היוצא למלחמת בית דוד" שבה התבאר תפקידם של תלמידי התמימים וכו'. ושיתעסקו בכ"ז ב"שטורעם" עד שיפעלו (לאחרי השלושים יום מט"ו באב) ש"לא היו ימים טובים כט"ו באלול שנת ה’תשמ”ט בברוקלין!". על כ"א שלמד בתו"ת או שולח לשם את ילדיו, לגשת להנהלת הישיבה במקומו ולהציע את עזרתו. להשתדל לייסד סניפים חדשים של תו"ת (ברשות ההנהלה המרכזית בברוקלין). ועוד.

משיחת אור לט"ו אלול ה'תשמ"ט

15 Elul marks the founding of Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim; this year (5749) marks fifty years since the yeshiva relocated to the Southern Hemisphere, in the year 5700. The occasion should be marked with a special celebration, from 15 Elul itself, and continuing until Chai Elul, (the date the studies in the yeshiva commenced), especially in light of them any sichos of my father-in-law the Rebbe about Chai Elul. This should be done first and foremost here in Brooklyn, and then everywhere that there is a Tomchei Temimim etc. Chassidic publications such as “Kol Hayotzei L’milchemes Beis Dovid” (which describes the role of the yeshiva students etc.) should be reprinted for the occasion. And all this should be done with great fanfare, to the point that (after the thirty days since 15 Av) “There were no festivals for the Jewish people like the 15^th of Av, 5749, in Brooklyn, New York!” Everyone who ever learned in Tomchei Temimim, or sends his children to learn there, should approach the yeshiva directors and offer to help; efforts should be made to establish new branches of Tomchei Temimim (with the permission of the central administration in Brooklyn) etc.
