Was Helton’s 2000 season better than Walker’s NL MVP year of 1997?

Description

DNVR Ranks is at full force and we need to determine if Todd Helton or Larry Walker had the better MVP-caliber season. Walker, the only current Hall of Famer in Colorado Rockies history, actually won the 1997 National League MVP. But the Toddfather, who could be Cooperstown bound in January, won a pair of Player of the Year Awards in 2000.

Canadian Baseball Hall of Famer Jeff Francis was in the building on Tuesday for Atlanta and Colorado. Fittingly, a pitcher’s duel of sorts broke out. What did Hunter Goodman manage to do this time? Which rookie is the best lock to be a Gold Glove Award Finalist? And to which group does both Charlie Morton and Francis belong?

The DNVR Rockies Podcast try to determine how low the lows will be this season as we barrel towards 100 losses for the first time in franchise history.
