י"ג אלול הוא יום החתונה דכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר (ובש.ז. ה"ז חל ביום הרביעי ש"בתולה נשאת ביום הרביעי", ר"ת "לבנה", שקאי על ישראל ש"דומין ללבנה" ו"מונין ללבנה"), וכיון שזוהי חתונה של נשיא דורנו ו"הנשיא הוא הכל" ה"ז שייך לכאו"א בדורנו; ובזה מיתוסף עי"ז שבלילה זה מתקיימת חתונה בפועל, והרי נוסח השבע-ברכות הוא שווה בכל חתונה, וברכה האחרונה היא "מהרה ישמע בערי יהודה וכו'"‏ – ‏גאולה האמיתית והשלימה ע"י משיח צדקנו, ואז יהי' שלימות הנישואין של ה' וישראל; הקשר עם התחלת פ' כי תבוא "כי תבוא אל הארץ גו' ולקחת מראשית כל פרי האדמה וגו'", ואחז"ל "מראשית ולא כל ראשית", שמחלק המובחר עושה ביכורים, ובמה שנשאר משתמש לעניניו הגשמיים באופן של "בכל דרכיך דעהו". 13 Elul is the wedding anniversary of my father-in-law the Rebbe (which falls out this year on Wednesday, and the Mishna states, “Besulah nisas l’yom harevi’i” (“A besulah is married on Wednesday”), which is an acronym for levanah (moon), which corresponds to the Jewish people who “resemble the moon” and “count by the moon”); since it's a wedding of the leader of our generation, and “the nasi is everything,” this is relevant to everyone in our generation. And this is furthered by the fact that there is actually a wedding tonight, and the text of the Sheva Brachos is the same at every wedding; the final bracha is “let there speedily be heard in the cities of Yehuda etc.” – the true and complete Redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu, at which time will be the “wedding” of Hashem and the Jewish people. The connection to the beginning of Parashas Ki Savo, “…when you come into the land…you shall take of the finest of all the fruit of the ground etc.” – the Sages taught, “from the first, and not all of the first,” that one takes the best part for bikurim, use the reset for his physical needs in a manner of “knowing Him in all your ways.”
