THE MOST STRESSFUL TIME IN JESUS’ LIFE WAS IN GETHSEMANEBUT HE FOUND SOLACE IN PRAYER. EACH OF US WILL HAVE THEIR OWN TIMES OF DISTRESS AND SADNESS IN LIFE AND WE TOO CAN FIND SOLACE IN PRAYER  

Matthew‬ ‭26‬:‭36‬-‭38‬ ‭NKJV‬

“Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there.” And He took with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and He began to be sorrowful and deeply distressed. Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”

‭‭‬ Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭41‬-‭44‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”

WHILE THE DISCIPLES TURNED TO THE SWORD, JESUS TURNED TO PRAYER  

Matthew 26:50-53

And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him. 51And, behold, one of them which were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck a servant of the high priest's, and smote off his ear. 52Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword. 53Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels? 

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ

Hebrews 5:7-9

Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; 8Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; 9And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him

JESUS HAS LEFT US AN EXAMPLE TO FIND SOLACE IN PRAYER IN LIFE’S TRIALS AND AFFLICTIONS 

1 Peter 2:21-23

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: 22Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously
