Traditionally, Judo training relied almost exclusively on uchikomi, repetition training of throws, and randori, free sparring. Does this paradigm still work, or is there a more efficient way of training? In this episode, Shintaro and Peter discuss "situational training," where Judokas repeatedly drill specific situations and positions. Is it more efficient, and if so, how could we add it to our regular training?
