Pining for Pixels # 16 - Retroactive Game(s) of the Year! (1997 - 1999)

Description

Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!

This week we have another entry in the official Red Rooster retroactive game of the year awards! This episode finishes our look at the 1990's as gaming enters into a bold new 3D era! Sony's Playstation is a newcomer to the scene, Sega stumbles a bit in the post Genesis world and Nintendo sticks to its tried and true cartridge format, even at the cost of some developers jumping ship. As I've noted in prior entries of this series, during this era of gaming there were plenty titles nominated here that could be GotY winners in any other given year, but then again hindsight is always 20/20! Tune in to find out who the luck winners are from 1997 - 1999 in this instalment of the retroactive game(s) of the year awards!
