Luis discusses the complicated relationship that can occur between overwhelm, fear, and turn-on. He invites us to explore the following question: "do I experience relief, openness, tenderness, and a deeper connection to myself and the other from sexual experiences, or does the thrill, the fear response, the stress and trauma response that these sexual fetishes and kinks bring up exhaust, disconnect, or shame me?"
