When you’re dealing with a stressful situation, it’s important not to over dramatize.  Instead of agonizing about the situation, focus on the desired end result.  Focusing on the end goal is one of the key strategies for dealing with difficult situations because it helps prevent you from getting caught up in the stress and anxiety.  When you remain focused and calm, you work more efficiently and effectively.
