Rom 9.19-23 'Do our choices matter if God chooses' Rev Chris Duke 2023 08 13 am
Description
In v19, ‘Why does God find fault for any who resists His will?"
The objection is, ‘How can it be just for God to still find fault since there is no one who can resist His will?’
The questioning is that, because God is sovereign, then we cannot be held responsible.
If the apostle Paul wasn’t teaching us, about God’s sovereignty and election here, if he wasn’t teaching us about judgement and eternal punishment, we probably wouldn’t be asking these questions.
Paul is assuring you that when, on the day of wrath and judgment and glory,
on the day that God the Father reveals His Son, in all His glory,
on that day we will look at every deed, including God's choosing and passing over,
and we’ll conclude, ‘I see now how that exalts God's mercy.’
