Turkey is home to more refugees than any other country in the world, with more than 3 million Syrians and 300,000 Iraqis. But many Turks now believe these Arab refugees have overstayed their welcome. And as the economic crisis in Turkey gets worse, attacks have begun to escalate, both verbally and physically. Is Turkey becoming a mirror for anti-minority sentiment in America? And are Arab governments responding by launching anti-Turkish campaigns of their own? Mr. Ömer Özkizilcik is an Ankara-based analyst of Turkish foreign policy, counterterrorism, and military affairs. A leading expert on the Syrian civil war, Özkizilcik has written extensively on the non-state armed groups and the state actors involved in the conflict.
