Episode Details

Imagine this—you’re a non-commissioned officer in the US military, having served two prior tours in Afghanistan and having received military weapons training.

You’re living with your wife in Metro Denver, a region plagued by car theft.

At 11:20 PM on July 5 your wife observes two people stealing your car from in front of your home, and she calls 911.

You retrieve a pistol and go outside to identify the thieves, following them on foot as they drive away unsuccessful in their car theft attempt.

About a block from your home they shoot at you, and you shoot back, killing one of the thieves, and wounding another.
