Description
Supernatural Season 4, Episode 10, Heaven and Hell recap 😇😈 Angels and demons are both coming for Anna, the girl who can hear angel radio, and the Winchesters are stuck in the middle of it on Denim-wrapped Nightmares, a Supernatural rewatch podcast. It's the season four midseason finale, and it is JAM-PACKED.
Picking up right where I Know What You Did Last Summer left off, Castiel and Uriel (Robert Wisdom) tell the boys that Anna (Julie McNiven) has to die, and Anna calls them a couple of heartless sons of bitches without missing a beat. Then Anna does some blood magic of her own, and Anna just got REAL interesting. With Alastair (Mark Rolston) and his demons also on the hunt, the boys stash Anna in Bobby's panic room, Ruby (Genevieve Padalecki) whips up some witchy hex bags, and Pamela (Traci Dinwiddie) comes back to help Anna remember who she really is.
Episode Highlights:
- Dean suggesting Uriel try JDate
- Ruby FINALLY doing witchy shit, and taking the brunt of these men's insults (justice for Ruby)
- Pamela slapping Sam's ass, blind or not
- A miracle tree in Union, Kentucky, and a big clue about Anna's past
- Dean's guess that Bobby is at Hedonism in a banana hammock and a trucker hat
- Dean and Anna in the backseat of the Impala (her hand lined up perfectly on Cas's handprint)
- A Titanic-style hand on the steamy window
- Uriel's dream visit to Dean, and the choice Dean makes
- Angels vs. demons, with Alastair's insults flying
- Dean finally telling Sam what happened to him in hell, with incredible performances from Jensen AND Jared
- Written by Eric Kripke and Trevor Sands, directed by J. Miller Tobin, and so much story packed into 42 minutes
In the lore segment, we dig into fallen angels across Hebrew, Christian, Islamic, and Zoroastrian traditions: spiritual beings who fell from grace and were separated from God, and the lessons they're believed to teach about morality and free will. (And sometimes, apparently, they just want to get laid.)
Sam: "She was convinced he wasn't her real daddy."
Dean: "Who was, the plumber? A little snaking the pipes?"
Sam: "Dude, you're confusing reality with porn again."
Your turn, hunters: Would YOU give up your grace to be human? And justice for Ruby, yes or no? Tell us in the Spotify comments, leave a rating and review on Apple Podcasts (it's how new hunters find us), or send us fan mail. Bonus points for fandom fun facts we missed.
