Rosa was in her 80s and struggling with dementia. But recently, it seemed like things had gotten worse. Rosa would point at the door at the end of the hallway and whisper to her family -
“Rudy is here. He’s there. He’s in that room.”
Her adult children would all glance at one another before comforting Rosa that there was no way Rudy was there.
Rudy Farias was a boy that had gone missing 5 years ago. 3 years after Rosa passed - Rudy Farias was found alive. He had been living in that locked room for the past 8 years. He had been held captive.
