Dr Stephen Porges is a distinguished university scientist at Indiana University. He's the Founding Director of the Traumatic Stress Research Consortium. And he's also a professor at the University of North Carolina. And most importantly, he is the creator of the Polyvagal Theory, a brilliant synthesis and integration of how our nervous autonomic nervous system functions.
