Gatsby Month comes to an end with our first segment of Retelling the News, where Sam, Callie, Shami and I discuss two  separate productions of musicals adapting The Great Gatsby currently in progress, and the possibilities of each one. Warning, here be theatre kid foolishness.

Additionally, I interview musician Violette Remington regarding her own musical take on Fitzgerald's most famous novel, Beautiful Fools, and we discuss how the women of this story tend to be unfairly maligned, and how she'd like to do them justice in future productions of her show.

The following podcast contains swearing, discussions of racism and sexism, death by fire, mentions of infidelity and spousal abuse, and rantings about studios that don't pay their writers and actors what they deserve.
