Description
In today's podcast I talk about 5 things I wish I knew when I first started my health & fitness journey over a decade ago.
Over the last 13 years I have learned so much through my own experience & the experience of coaching other people. These 5 things are in no particular order because I find that they all are equally important & some will be more valuable depending on the listener.
- The importance of protein & resistance training - focus on getting strong not just burning more calories manually through cardio & calorie restriction
- Be consistently good instead of being occasionally great - the journey is messy & results will never be linear. Sometimes it’s going to feel like you are not moving, but you have to trust the process.
- You can and SHOULD eat carbs, especially if you are doing weight training or any form of high intensity training
- The scale is the least valuable form of measuring progress.
- Every person is built different thus it is a losing battle to compare yourself to others.
If you found value from the podcast, share the episode with at least one person who would also find value. Let's spread the word & get better together.
