Here is a bit about Manbo:
My (re)membered Ayisyen indigenous name is Chèche Fouye Bon Manbo”.- i also use my –IFA name Arira Adeeke
I am a Manbo Asogwe living in Ayiti !
I grew up in a spiritually sanctified home and learned from a very early age how important collective prayer and ritual make access to the necessity of healing both collective and individual. I am the daughter of a Hougan the great-granddaughter of Manbo Dantes and the great-granddaughter and many greats of farmers both on Gullah Geechee land and lands of Ayiti. I have traveled the world in search of how to create sanctuaries for Black folks with the traditions of our ancestors.
As a certified Reiki Master + Clinical Herbalist/Rootworker, Master Gardener/Urban Farmer, I offer a variety of healing services centered around African indigenous practices
I embarked on a journey of initiation into Ayisyen Vodou through Sosyete Nago and continue my never-ending connection with plant ancestors on the sacred land of Ayiti
