We often think that meditation is something that we needed to do for a really long time. And that's not actually true. Let me give you an idea of something that you can do today that can actually help slow down your brain. If you take just two minutes, start a timer, and sit quietly and close your eyes and practice thinking about nothing, just two minutes, that actually helps rewire your brain to slow down, it actually creates inside you, the idea that you're in control of your brain and your brain will begin to focus on the things that you want. Now, when thoughts come to your brain, I want you to push them away, wherever they are, but just think about nothing. Or just think about the darkness that you're saying. Here's why we do this. When we meditate. It really helps our brain recover from all the chatter that's on the inside of us. If you can do it for longer than two minutes, that'd be awesome. distracting yourself like this is a wonderful way to calm your internal voice and make sure that you're sitting quietly without a lot of distractions.
