He then welcomes writer/producer/filmmaker/podcaster Amy Guth, from ‘Crain’s Chicago Business,’ to talk about her adventures in L.A. while producing her latest film, taking meetings, and staying in a vast variety of Airbnb’s. They also talk about concert crowds, laundromats, and the upcoming Chicago Jewish Book Festival. Then Esmeralda Leon and Nick talk about their families celebrating birthdays and anniversaries at the same time, Dungeons & Dragons, and feeling old. They also discuss Nicolas Cage being, well, Nicolas Cage, weird entertainment spin-offs, and the fact that Nick’s back porch tenant Keri Russell is now an Emmy Nominee!! [EP158]
