"Light in the Darkness" - Episode 8 in the series, "Christian Shadow Work"

Season 3 Episode 34 Published 3 years ago
Description

Jonah and Patrick conclude the “Christian Shadow Work” series first by reviewing the territory covered in previous episodes. They go on to explore how the Eucharist service itself reveals the deepest transformative processes available to the human soul today. With Christ’s life and death on earth, we are shown the highest fulfillment of the human being—one who has overcome egotism all the way down to and through the body and blood, which he then willingly gives away for the ongoing life of the world. The question of how we continue to transform and integrate our shadows over time is thus answered through Christ’s Death, Resurrection and Revelation. When human beings turn towards and unite with Him, our shadows have the possibility of transforming into crosses—places on earth that, like Golgotha, in our carrying of them, reveal the light of God shining in the darkness.
